Tai Chi is considered one of the treasures of Chinese culture
The focus of this class will be to learn the basic movements of Tai Chi Ch’uan.
Tai Chi Ch’uan has been described as Meditation in Motion. It has been practiced secretly in China for over 1000 years but it was not until the 1920s that it was introduced to the general public. Originally it was practiced as a Martial Art, today millions of people practice the slow, graceful movements of Tai Chi Ch’uan for its health promoting benefits. Tai Chi Ch’uan is known to increase flexibility, strength, mindfulness and overall health. It works on multiple levels leaving the practitioner feeling invigorated in body, mind and spirit. Learn these simple movements to advance yourself into a healthier way of living.
